Flight planning and performing according meteorological forecasts
Zapletal, Jan ; Hammer, Jaromír (referee) ; Krška, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with meteorological elements and phenomena with respect to aviation. It focuses on sources from which it is possible to obtain the necessary forecasts and weather information, both in flight planning and execution. The author, as a competition pilot, performs an analysis of specific flights, during which he had the opportunity to evaluate and compare the quality of weather information from various sources and their implications for sports performance.
Flight Management System Model
Preparation of flight plan for cross-country flight from LKTB to OMDB by Zlin Z-143 Airplane
Pískatý, Slavomír ; Raudenský, Miroslav (referee) ; Imriš, Pavel (advisor)
The objective of this study is the submission of entire flight plans of chartered routes, including risk analysis and necessary equipment for flights in the middle eastern region.. The paper describes rules for IFR flights, which must be followed when flying into these areas and also focuses on the meteorological situation, legislation and general geographical characteristics of the mentioned states. The flight to UAE is divided into several stages which makes the planning easier when searching for a specific locality. All the available information is according to AIP and AIC.
Flight planning, execution and monitoring in commercial air transport
Grunt, Jan ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Imriš, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on a structured description of the flight planning and preparation process in commercial air transport with emphasis on legislative requirements, especially regulation L 8168, and with regard to the circumstances and factors affecting the flight. The work also contains a description of the flight and its monitoring and is to serve as a suitable study support for students of aviation.
Selection of an economical aircraft for flights abroad
Fried, Kristián ; Imriš, Pavel (referee) ; Sklenář, Filip (advisor)
This bachelors thesis deals with finding the economically most appropriate aircraft for flights from Czech Republic abroad. The beginning part discusses an overview of aircrafts, available for rent in Czech republic. Describes the financial demands for particular types of aircraft, in regard to their cruising speed, time based fuel consumption and rental cost. Thesis then discusses ground preparations for VFR flight from Czech republic to Venice, applying the economically most appropriate aircraft from previous part. The thesis finishes by making a cost evaluation of the whole trip and offers a nicely uderstandable procedure for finding a financialy viable aircraft for flights abroad.
Planning of optimal VFR routes from the Czech Republic to the Republic of Estonia
Belák, Richard ; Juračka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Sklenář, Filip (advisor)
Main goal of this bachelor’s thesis was to make ground preparations for two cross-country flights to the Estonian Republic with fully loaded airplane Cessna 172SP while maintaining VFR. First part includes description of aircraft and its flight instruments. The main emphasis is put on compliance with flight safety and the legislation of states where the flight takes place. The next section describes the individual routes with airports and limited spaces. The last part deals with the financial demands of both flights.
ETOPS in comparation with conventional airplanes
Veselý, Pavel ; Chlebek, Jiří (referee) ; Šošovička, Róbert (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with two-engine airplanes flying on long routes in the areas with limited selection of suitable airports. It concerns with ETOPS (Extended Range Operation with Two Engine Airplanes) especially that enables to plan the routes more direct thanks to higher reliability of airplanes. There are summarized requirements for commercial air operator and aircraft for the intended ETOPS. This work also compares normal operations with ETOPS in terms of flight planning and performing with regard to its economics.
Optimization of flight trajectories of small aircraft
Fried, Kristián ; Procházková, Hana (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with optimization of vertical flight path of smaller aircraft, aiming to construct a mathematical model for mnimizing energy consumption during flight. The model has been set up to work with aircraft types Cessna C172 and WT9 Dynamic in accordance to their instrumentation and style of operation. The optimization model results are compared with flight data acquired from the real world operation for potential fuel burn and CO2 emmisions savings. The output of the diploma thesis may be used during flight planning or analyzing the operational fligt data.
Analysis of available applications on airspace in Central Europe and their use for route planning
Zgančík, Martin ; Červenka, Miroslav (referee) ; Sklenář, Filip (advisor)
The thesis aims to create an overview and compare available commercial and non-commercial VFR flight planning applications. Additionally, to plan a flight within Central Europe with the minimal length of 1000km under VFR and to describe the pre-flight on-land preparation. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part of the thesis consists of the overview and comparison of selected applications for VFR flight planning. The second part describes and compares applications that map the airspace within Central Europe. The third part focuses on practical flight planning while using one of the aforementioned applications.
